I am participating in the 2023 Heart Walk and helping to organize the local Denver S&P Global group heart walk to support the American Heart Association because I want to give back. By participating, I know I am making a difference in the life of individuals and families struggling with heart health challenges. Heart health is incredibly important to me considering my own challenges being born with a small hole in my heart. It started to cause health risks including fainting in my late teens and 20s and I had outpatient surgery in 2006 with a medical device implant to close the hole. I am happy to be healthy and active in my 40s. My dad also had a heart valve replacement in 2021 and my maternal grandfather also had a heart valve replacement in the 1980s. I am thankful every day for the medical advancements and research the American Heart Association has made possible supported by donations and the cardiologists who have treated us.
Join me in donating to support continued AHA work, research and medical advancements and help me reach my fundraising goal by May 18.
