It was 7 years ago today that my wife and i were walking through Evergreen Cemetery in Portland when i experienced my 3rd heart attack. While i tried to shrug it off, the wife knew better, and made me go to the emergency room, where it was determined I was in fact suffering an attack. After i was stabilized; i was admitted for further testing on the following Monday. After the cardiac catheterization it was determined i needed a double bypass to clear the 2 arteries that were blocked. The surgery was successful and i have recovered.
Last year I walked to raise money to honor my father who passed away from heart disease. This year i am honoring my wife Phyllis who made me go the ER, and receive treatment for my heart attack. Without her I probably would not be here today.
