1 in 100 babies are born with a congenital heart defect. Charlie was one of those babies. You wouldn’t realize what our little guy has been through by looking at him, but beneath his signature charismatic dimpled smile is a zipper scar down his chest. His scars represent his strength, resilience, and determination.
Charlie, like most cardiac kids, has been through more than any person should or will endure in their lifetime. He has surpassed expectations, outperformed milestones, and impressed his entire care team. His charisma, infectious smile and story is memorable to so many. We are incredibly proud of his progress and want to recognize and celebrate what a warrior he is. As Charlie continues to thrive and approach his 4th birthday we want to give back in a small way.
Any small contribution to our team “Cheering on Charlie” would go a long way to support lifesaving research and science towards caring for congenital heart defects through the AHA. All are welcomed to grab their sneakers, stretch their legs, and join our team. Come celebrate Charlie and his accomplishments as he continues to kick butt. Let’s keep Cheering on Charlie!
Love,
Diane, Vince and Avery (Charlie’s Biggest Fan Club)
