9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside of a hospital don’t survive—and in most of those cases, bystander CPR wasn’t performed. But we can change that.
Cardiac arrests happen in homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and athletic fields. The readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. Every dollar raised means more people trained in CPR, more research, and more lifesaving moments.
Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in the U.S., and this campaign hits home for me. My mentor Mack recently lost his mother in March, and I’m dedicating this effort to her memory—and to the millions of families affected by this disease.
If you were here for Real Men Wear Pink in 2022, you know how seriously I take this. I raised over $40,000 and finished #22 in the U.S., #2 in PA, and #1 in Pittsburgh.
But this time, it’s even more personal. I’ve joined the American Heart Association’s Executive Leadership Team because I believe we can save lives—not someday, but today.
It’s time to unite, take action, and be the reason someone survives.
