Saving and improving lives can be as simple as taking a walk. And I know I'm making a difference in the lives of others by participating in the Heart Walk.
But it's not just my efforts alone that will one day help us see a world free of heart disease and stroke. I am walking with a team of heart heros because together, we will have an even greater impact. And you can help us change the world, one step at a time, by donating to my fundraiser.
My brother Joey died when he was 12 of congenital heart disease. He outlived his life expectancy by over 10 years due to the cardiac expertise of his medical caregivers. Today, if you're born with congenial heart disease like him, there's a good chance you will live well into adulthood due to many advances primarily coming from the American Heart Association's work. I have been teaching and practicing emergency cardiac care for almost 40 years sharing and using the evidence from AHA and seen many survivors as a result. AHA is the #1 source for reearch, evidence and guidelines related to cardiovascular care. I will be supporting AHA in their walk and hope to have your support. Heart disease remains the #1 killer of adults in the US and the AHA is continuing it's fight to reduce that statistic. Thank you for whatever support you can give and feel free to join me to walk if you like.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people enjoy longer, healthier lives. I can't do it alone.
Please help me now by donating. Because every step counts. And together we are helping save lives!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
