Here is my why...
On a small farm in rural Lancaster County, Anna Mary Martin died in 1964 and indirectly changed my life forever. Lacking access to the innovative heart and vascular care present in today’s medical communities, she was given simple medications to ease her chest pain and sent home to pass surrounded by family and friends. Anna was the grandmother I never met.
For more than 25 years I have dedicated my career to Cardiovascular Medicine and the Lancaster Community in hopes that other kids will be able to meet their grandma, or enjoy one last holiday together, or maybe just a long hug. Thanks to the dedication of our medical community and organizations like the American Heart Association, heart attack and stroke patients can now receive rapid, life saving care.
Please help me further the mission of the American Heart Association with a donation to my 2023 Heart Walk event!
