I am participating in the 2023 Heart Walk to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke.
In 2017, my father suffered from a heart attack. Due to recognition of signs and fast action by him and my mother, they were able to get him to the hospital and a quadruple bypass was performed. This event was eye-opening to myself and my family as my father is a healthy man and was young at the time of the heart attack. We are so fortunate and thankful for the life-saving medical procedures available today and the continued research on heart disease and stroke.
