I walk in honor of loved ones (family, friends & colleagues) I have lost, specifically this walk will always be dedicated to my mentor Gary Munroe. He is/was the heart and soul to my employer Digney York Associates.
Gary Munroe was the definition of LEADER. He never completely disregarded your opinion or thoughts. He allowed you to learn, make mistakes, and question things; because even though he was the best at what he did, he still knew that he didn't know everything. Gary took every situation as a high priority, from the smallest model room/budget, even up to the 2000-room hotel. He knew that if you went in strong, giving your all on everything, then you can never feel bad about the outcome. Win or lose, doing the Gary Munroe method, you should always feel proud and keep your head up high.
Gary may not physically be in DYA or my future, but his image and spirit needs to continue to guide us forward.
