I walk because Jack would not be here if it weren't for the research by the American Heart Association.
Many of you know Jack. He was born with a significant heart defect called Tetrology of Fallot. This diagnosis always requires open heart surgery.
In the past this surgery often had to be delayed until children were older and bigger because doctors did not have equipment small enough for infant hearts.
By the time many kids were big enough for surgery, they often had congestive heart failure.
Jack was able to have open heart surgery at the age of 8 weeks old thanks to the American Heart Association!
I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help me?
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today.
