I walk because someone I love dearly was able to walk beside me for an additional 13 years with a heart transplant.
In short, I walk for my uncle Charles.
It was an honor to watch the fullness of your humanity in my lifetime. It's been an honor to be your niece, to teach & be taught, to learn how important community is, and that faith is stronger than any fear you may have. To always root for the underdog. you were the underdog, and my oh my did you persevere.
It's been an honor to have you walk beside me in this life and my deepest honor was to walk you home on October 2nd, 2021 at 06:23 pm when you took your very last breath.
As I prepare to walk in honor of my loved one that has passed. I asked if you could help donate so just like myself more individuals can have their loved ones walk beside them longer.
