On April 8th 2023, my life changed forever. I had emergency Cardio bypass surgery to save my life. And even that very invasive surgery didn’t fix the issue—I subsequently had to have a corrective surgery after that one. You see before then I was the picture of “perfect health” on paper. Hell I was even actively exercising leading up to being rushed to the emergency room. I am now one of many women that have been forever impacted by heart disease with no advance warning signs. It is by the grace of God that I am here today and now blessed (blessed to be a survivor) to take part in the upcoming walk in Connecticut to raise money towards heart disease research. Did you know that the leading killer of women in the US is heart disease? I didn’t know that before I was diagnosed. As women we carry so much. We carry ourselves, we carry children, we carry our families just to name a few. We also carry the burden of being underrepresented when it comes to adequate education and research towards our heart health. I want to be an active part of changing that and I hope you will support me in this. I am registered for the May 18th walk in Fairfield. Please help donate. Any amount is welcome and I hope to surpass my goal of $250. I’m happy to answer questions via DM/ call to ensure your faith that this fundraiser is indeed legitimate. The link to donate is below. Thank you so much in advance.
