I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
I have been touched by heart disease in so many ways...my dad has a pacemaker, a co-worker dropped at work and 2 others performed CPR until 1st responders arrived, 9 AED shocks later, a mitrovalve replacement and he returned to work. 2 friends hearts stopped and both were saved, one by her husband, and one by a stranger in the gym. And how can I not mention my husbands work and his own cardiac issues? I am sure there are more and I'll stop here.
I am lucky, as 9 our of 10 people who experience a heart attack outside of a hospital die.
It's time to take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. We can make and difference and increase the survival rate together!
