I'm not just walking. I'm Heartwalking!
I have been fundraising for the American Heart Association's Annual Heart Walk for about 20 years now. As most of you know, my father lost his battle with heart disease back in 2008, which motivated me to create Team Florio and get others to help fundraise with me. Several years ago I lost my godfather, Tony Susi, to congestive heart failure, two years my uncle Rino Cavalluzzo, who suffered with heart disease, also passed. My uncle Sal had a stroke a couple of years ago, last year one of my father-in-laws, Wayne, had a heart attack, my aunt Sugar had a major cardiac event last December, and both Mamma Florio and Erick have dealt with afib this past year, which they are all recuperating from. Most recently, my cousin LJ had a major heart attack and passed on Sunday, August 29, 2021. The list of people I walk for, whether victims or survivors, family or friends, seems to grow constantly.
My participation in the Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2020. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
