My Dad is Why!
It will be 10 years in June since I have heard my Dad's voice, seen his goofy grin, or received a pat on the back and an "I love you Kidd". Some days it feels like just yesterday I said goodbye to the most important man in my life..... other days it feels like an eternity since my dad left us. Either way the cause of his leaving is the same... he was taken from us far to early by complications from a stroke that was set in motion by forces beyond anyone's control after a very successful aortic valve replacement.
My dad is an amazing man. A great husband, father, grandfather, and buddy to many. He is greatly missed!
I walk in loving memory of my Dad. I also walk in support and memory of my Mom, whose heart was broken when my Dad died. I come together with my family to walk for the AHA to honor my parents and to try to put an end to heart disease and stroke.
Life is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2020. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
