We are walking, for the third consecutive year, in memory of our precious and beloved Dad, whom we lost suddenly to heart disease on June 8, 2020.
On the morning of May 19, 2020, right in the midst of the COVID pandemic, our Dad experienced severe chest pain, was rushed to the hospital, and underwent emergency cardiac surgery that very day that lasted 7 hours. While he miraculously survived the surgery, he continued to experience complications and we lost him 3 weeks later.
Our Dad was kind-hearted, loving, gentle, compassionate, selfless, simple, wise, funny, and the most generous man we have ever known. He truly had a HEART OF GOLD. He was the pillar, patriarch, and center of our family, and is immensely missed! He also was devoted to serving our community and impacted so many lives.
In order to meaningfully celebrate our Dad’s life-long legacy of selfless giving and helping others, we are once again leading a team at the AHA Heart Walk, TEAM HEART OF GOLD. Over the past two years, thanks to our team and generous supporters, we raised over $7,000 in his memory.
