I am not a runner, but I will be running hard on May 14th in support of the American Heart Association Wall Street Run and the AHA's efforts to fight heart disease and stroke, the #1 and #5 causes of death in the US. The goal of the event is to raise $4 million to support the programs of the American Heart Association and promote healthier living in NYC and nationally - funding research into the prevention and treatment of heart disease and stroke, CPR training, giving children access to gym equipment, providing low income neighborhoods with fresh food options and providing education on heart healthy diet and activities.
My father passed away in 2018 after a long running battle with heart disease and its various complications. I saw how it severely impacted his quality of life and it gave me an even greater appreciation for the essential work of the AHA.
Please support the AHA with as generous donation as you can - to help those who suffer from heart disease and stroke and to help us all have healthier hearts.
Wishing you good health! Thank you in advance for your support!
