At Fizika, we know the value of exercise and eating well to keep our brains and bodies healthy.  We're walking to support survivors like Mimi Shapiro.  Read her statement and understand why supporting the American Heart Association is vital to helping survivors like Mimi.

"I had a brain stem stroke in November 2109, eventually diagnosed as Wallenberg Syndrome. The problem is I cannot swallow - I am working on swallowing until then I have a feeding tube – I am working to sustain myself with enough “real” food taken by mouth.

Random events like stroke – are a part of life – life is a continuous  learning experience here at earth school. Everyday my one person training to the Olympics of total healing!

Living is a process, not exact by any means, but feeling alive, confident in learning and building new skills. Attitude is everything – One day at a time... then do it again tomorrow, one day at a time is my mantra."
