We walk for Connor and all of the other kids affected by Congenital Heart Defects/Disease! In the United States alone CHDs are the most common birth defect with them occurring  in almost 1% of births. Approximately 25% of children born with a CHD will need heart surgery or other interventions to survive. Connor was diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect, Ventricular Septal Defect and a cleft artery off his mitral valve (mitral valve regurgitation) when Courtney was 25 weeks pregnant and underwent open heart surgery July 13, 2017- twelve . Thanks to his amazing Cardiologist, Dr. Colon and his surgeon, Dr. Devejian, Connor is a thriving 5 year old who loves sports, family and his friends. Though Connor will live his entire life with heart disease advancement in research is giving more kids like Connor the chance to live longer lives!
