My name is Aurora Kurtz, Little Miss New York 2023. On August 20th, 2022, my papa died suddenly of undiagnosed heart disease. In his memory, I have pledged to use my crown to bring attention to this deadly disease and to help people establish heart healthy habits. My platform is called “Healthy Bodies, Happy Hearts” and my focus is on teaching kids how to begin making these changes early in life. By getting out and moving for at least 30 minutes a day and choosing healthy snacks, we can all keep our hearts happy. 

I am joined by my brother, Tiernan, and my momma in growing this team and raising money for the AHA. Together we can make a difference in peoples lives and help prevent more families from experiencing the tragedy of losing a loved one.

Please join us in honoring my papa. His birthday would have been April 26th, so let's make the walk a remembrance of his love. 

We are walking together - not only for our own health, but also for yours. And for the health of our parents, our children, and our grandchildren.

The Heart Walk is a time of celebration, joy, and inspiration. It's also an event where people work together to support one single goal - to create a world free of heart disease and stroke.
