"Mom, Dad's been in an accident; he is unresponsive.." 12/18/15

Pat was 47.  It was a day like all others.  He got up and went to work, but on this day, he didn't make it.  He was driving when he went off the road and crashed.  The "accident" was caused by a massive heart attack.  He was in the prime of his life, preparing to walk his daughter down the aisle.

Heart Disease is the #1 killer of both men and women in the US.  Heart Disease claims a life every 37 seconds in the US.

Our family was left picking up the pieces.  The wedding happened without him.  The grandbabies came without him.  "Papa" as he would have been called would never get to meet Maddie and Macie.
