My name is Emma, I am 13 years old and have had two heart surgeries. I have a right aortic arch, which effects 1 in 1,000 people. This heart condition means that all my arteries are in the right side opposed and not the left. My first surgery I had what's called a vascular ring that was causing me breathing issues, my last surgery was in 2020 and they had to reroute one of my arteries. I love dance classes, softball and reading, and I also love learning about the human anatomy and one day would love to be a doctor!
