Our team is running this race in honor of David Burnstein, a loving father, husband, brother, and friend to many, who passed suddenly on January 28, 2022 at the age of 54. David suffered from a heart condition known as 'Marfan syndrome (MFS)' which affects over 2 million people and claims over 200,000 lives each year. He was incredibly fit for his age, and an avid runner, having ran multiple marathons.

The proceeds from this race will support the American Heart Association, which is dedicated to fighting heart diseases like MFS.
