We walk because of Liam George Zoghby April 6, 2001 - January 12th, 2024.
Liam developed DiGeorge Syndrome after being born without a small part of a chromosome, which can cause some developmental disability and heart anomalies
Liam’s medical resilience, which included open heart surgeries and numerous other procedures, was a testament to his strength and bravery.
Liam had a great passion for large family-and-friends’ gatherings, music and different sports. He became heavily involved in the SU men’s Basketball program as a student manager. His dedication was stellar and was highlighted in the friendships and testimonies of SU player and coaches.
Liam found his safe haven from any ailment by establishing kind and loving relations with his family and any individual he encountered. He always looked out for others with words of encouragement, hugs, High-fives, smiles or just a gentle presence…
We traveled with Liam through his beautiful life thinking that we needed to care for him, while all along he was the one caring for all of us. He was the strong one, empowered by his love for life and people. Liam taught all of us who knew him that through his genuine love for others he was able to leave an unforgettable mark in the world.
Thank you, Liam, for shining your light on us - you will forever be here with us!
Liam: In the spirit of your kindness, your nine-year-old cousin Raymond is starting this fund raiser in hopes that it would help others who may face your challenges and be able to beat them through medical research and breakthroughs.
In the meantime, we can only hope that we can LIVE LIKE LIAM…
