Friends,
As you know, we all lost Dr. Sean Donovan in 2024 from coronary artery disease. It was a sad and challenging year for the AMC Department of Emergency Medicine, the Schenectady Fire Department, the Office of Fire Prevention and Control and NYS TF2, as well as all of Sean's family and friends.
2024 was also a year of loss for my family as well, as my sister Carol died at home of coronary artery disease in September. I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated the support that I have received. Both of these wonderful people were lost to us too soon...
There is work to do to prevent the next cardiac event and make sure that people are ready to respond. Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today by joining our team or donating towards our goal. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
