For those that don’t know, in 2005, my mother suffered a heart attack that is affectionately referred to as “the widow maker”. She was only 62 years old. She never drank and she never smoked. We were told she wouldn’t make it through the night – she did. We were told she wouldn’t leave the hospital without a transplant – she did. “She did” a lot of things we didn’t think she would. She fought to see my daughter start high school, then to graduate, then to start college. Unfortunately, her fight to see Alexa graduate from college was lost; and, sadly, Alexa will be getting married this year without the added beauty of having "Grandma" with her. After battling for seven years, she passed away in March of 2012 – oddly enough, on my Dad’s birthday. She was 100% Lebanese; and, part of me thinks she may or may not have done that just for spite!
There is exactly ZERO donation that is too small!
Thank you for "listening" to the end!
