It's time to gear up for the 2024 Heart Walk! I ask that you please consider donating to my Heart Walk team this year. You were all so amazing last year and helped me raise almost $2,500 - I'm hoping we can blow that number out of the water in 2024! A little more about my story and why I support the American Heart Association:
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. I grew up having Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), which is as an irregularly fast or erratic heartbeat (arrhythmia) that affects the heart's upper chambers. While this condition was not extremely serious, was managed with medicine and eventually went away on its own, it still affected me negatively in several ways and required trips to the hospital when it couldn't be managed at home. Without access to medicine or knowledgeable doctors who could help, I'm not sure how it would have progressed. My grandmother also passed away from heart disease complications, way too early. Most recently, my father experienced high blood pressure, which he was able to check daily with the blood pressure monitor provided for him at his last wellness check. He went to the doctor and they discovered three almost 100% blockages to his heart and underwent triple-bypass surgery. He has fully recovered at record speed, which we attribute to the amazing doctors and staff that took care of him during his recovery.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives. I am excited to be part of the Hensel Phelps Mid South team this year!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
