June "Junebug" McLain
June 22,1941 - March 12, 1998
Junebug was our mom and she was the best person you would have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was the personification of sweet, kind and selfless giving. She lived her entire life centered on her two boys, my brother and I. Junebug was the type of mother that worked two jobs to try to give us the best education and did everything for us while doing nothing for herself. Our Junebug was one of those rare special souls only told of in fables. But she was real, and she was our mother, our friend...our mom.
On March 12, 1998, a heart attack stole this amazing woman from our family. We miss her every day and want to do what we can to prevent other families from losing their loved ones from this curable disease. We would like to raise as much money as we can, for as long as we can, and donate it to The American Heart Association so that hopefully this doesn't happen to ANYONE.EVER.AGAIN!
In the 4 years that we held this event we have raised over $25,000 for the American Heart Association.
We hope to carry on that tradition of donations this year with your help!
