Join the PACEMAKERS for Heart Walk 2024 as we come together to raise awareness and funds for heart health. Each step we take is a testament to our commitment to fighting heart disease, a condition that has touched many of our lives. Our team is united by personal stories and shared experiences, and we invite you to read each team member's "why" as we honor our loved ones and strive to make a lasting impact in the fight against heart disease. Together, we can make a difference!
Ashton Osburn's Why:
I’m fundraising for Heart Walk 2024 because of my extensive family history of heart disease, which has profoundly impacted me, especially through my Papa’s struggle. Losing him, along with multiple aunts and uncles to this disease, has made me acutely aware of the challenges many families face. I want to honor their memory by supporting vital research and awareness initiatives that can help prevent heart disease for future generations. Additionally, I am proud to work alongside dedicated cardiovascular physicians at UF Health Jacksonville, whose efforts are making a real difference in our community. Together, we can promote heart health and create a meaningful impact. Thank you for your support!
Gail Pannell's Why:
Please help the American Heart Association raise money to support research and ground-breaking advances in caring for people with heart disease. Heart disease runs in my family- my grandfather, Joe Montgomery; my uncle, Ronnie Montgomery; my husband, David Pannell; my father-in-law, Howard Pannell, and many more. Hopefully as research improves and knowledge advances, the incidence of heart disease will decline. That is my Why- my family, my kids, my grandkids, and future generations. So that they may live strong, healthy lives. I also love the work we do every day, trying to educate, encourage, and provide intervention to help our patients, friends, and families live longer, healthier lives.
