I walk for my Dad.
He's a survivor. A little over one year ago, he had a stroke. I remember that day vividly. It was an utterly gorgeous Saturday afternoon in May. It was one of those days that was so beautiful, you feel like life is perfect and nothing could go wrong. I was on my way to see a friend's band at the Virginia Highlands Porchfest when my Dad called me to tell me that his left side was numb. Luckily, he was able to get the care that he needed quickly and made a full recovery.
My Dad has had atrial fibriliation for decades with few issues. A rare side effect of his medication, however, had led to a rupture of a brain vessel. A minimally invasive heart procedure allowed him to safely discontinue the medication.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help me?
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today.
With love and gratitude,
Yoon
