We walk because we know that with every step, we are saving lives.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We have to change that. Will you help us? If you know us, you know James suffered a mild heart attack in his 30's and then 2 strokes. The first one was massive in July of 2019 and the second one was considered massive in August of 2023. Although we do not know 100% the reason for his medical emergencies, we know he is here because of God! He IS a walking-talking miracle! After much thought & prayer, taking James to many doctor visits and the many tests they performed, as well as talking with medical professionals, Debbie decided to enter James & herself into the Heart Walk in Atlanta this year. To encourage him and others to get moving, to get healthier, to do our part to help and encourage others to keep moving forward. Many of us know loved ones who have passed away due to heart failure & heart attacks. Stroke is something new to us. All Debbie heard from medical professionals is, that James is so young. We thank God for his life and for the countless medical teams and professionals who did their part to help James succeed and thrive! Without their medical expertise and training, we would not be where we are today. Of course, God gets all the glory! He has placed wonderful, kind, caring & generous people in our lives.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
This year, as we celebrate the Centennial of the American Heart Association, we will move health and well-being forward in important and critical ways. This relentless pursuit will continue until heart disease and stroke no longer exist.
Have a heart and help us reach our goal today. Thank you! Please join us if you can!
