I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve and was asymptomatic, even after being diagnosed with Severe Aortic Stenosis on April 12, 2024. My open heart surgery was on Jun 7, 2024 and thanks to Baycare and Dr. Harrington, I celebrate 5 months post surgery, feeling great and hopeful for the future.
