Hello, friends. As many of you know, I am a survivor of heart disease and have been through my nine lives and I am still here thanks to the medical advances made throughout the years. That is just one of the reasons this fundraiser is so important to me. Having numerous cardiac operations, procedures, and being on my tenth pacemaker thus far, I know all too well how much heart research matters. The medical field has come a long way over my 53 years, but still has so much futher to go. When I lived in Georgia, I was a patient at Emory University Hospital which is a teaching and research hospital. I was loosing hope and the doctors told me they were working on a new procedure and I would be able to get the procedure when it was ready. Two years went by and I was still waiting. The doctors finally told me that research had stopped on it because funding was cut. That was devastating to me. I manage my condition well, but I know others who aren't as well of as I am. Funding is imparative, I can't stress that enough.
One way to help bring attention to this cause is by participating in the Heart Walk. But it's not just my efforts alone that will one day help us see a world free of heart disease. I am walking with a team of heart heros because together, we will have an even greater impact. And you can help us change the world, one step at a time, by donating to my fundraiser.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people enjoy longer, healthier lives. I can't do it alone.
Please help me now by donating. Because every step counts. And together we are helping save lives!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today! Thank you!
