My dad was my biggest supporter and meant the world to me. His battle with heart disease began with his first heart attack in 1985, followed by triple bypass in 2000, a stroke in 2006, and a final stroke in October 2007. He passed that November. In 2023, we lost my mother-in-law due to complications from strokes she suffered.
A close friend of mine, Ray Gabaldon, who is physically active, had regular check-ups, and showed no symptoms, went in for a routing exam. An EKG revealed he needed open-heart surgery--a shoking reminder that heart disease can affect even those who seem perfectly healthy.
We're all connected to heart disease and stroke in some way, and we have to change that. Will you help me?
