I Walk to Save Lives. My husband Mark is a survivor. At age of 49 he had a heart attack. With no previous history of any heart problems, he was lucky to have survived it. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses and support medical staff, he came home, to us, his 6 y.o son and me, his wife. But there are so many that don't make it home to their loved ones. We will walk to save lives!
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. ​
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death. ​
