I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking in memory of my mother!
On June 29, 2018, my mother had open heart surgery with 5 bypasses. She had some complications after the procedure but was on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, mom did not make a full recovery as we all hoped and prayed. The skies opened to welcome her in heaven on December 8, 2018. My walk will always be for my mom.
My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2020.
