I walk for my Dad.
2025 has been a year of revelation for my family and the heart issues that have lived deep rooted in our history. This year those issues came to the light, first with my uncle, and then less than a month later for my father. We all like to think of our parents as superhuman, untouchable, and the strongest individuals that we ever come across. That is what my father is to me, and I want to help in a way that I know how. I want to help other families by raising money and awarness to help with the research of Heart Failure. Our hearts are the root of us, it is what connects us with other people, and pushes us forward to achieve greatness. Whether that greatness is being a 40+ hour employee at a 9-5 job, a stay at home parent, a person who entertains, or even a person who is in the prime of their life and able to enjoy retirement.
I have participated in the Heart Walk since 2021, but this year it has a bit more of a familial tie to me. I have been a 'walker' since the first year I joined, but this year I am stepping up to be a 'Coach'.
I look forward to building my team and raising awareness about the benefits of the AHA.
