9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die.

 

This statistic resonates with me. My mother survived her first heart attack because she was in the hospital at the time. Unfortunately, both my uncle and my mother succumbed to their heart disease after suffering an attack at home.

I participate in this walk to honor the memories of those dear to me and to contribute to raising funding for vital research aimed at finding a cure. Last year marked my first experience in this incredible event, and I found it to be both meaningful and enjoyable. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and support, as participants came together, sharing stories and motivation, all while making strides towards a common goal. The energy was palpable, and being a part of such a significant cause made the entire experience truly memorable.
