I am raising funds for my AHA Heart Walk team, "Whiskey Business" because Heart disease and stroke are leading causes of death in the United States, claiming more lives than all forms of cancer and chronic lower respiratory disease combined. In 2022 alone, cardiovascular disease accounted for 941,652 deaths in the U.S., with stroke responsible for approximately 1 in every 20 deaths 

This cause is deeply personal to me. When I was 13 years old, my grandpa passed away from a stroke. His loss has motivated me to take action and support the American Heart Association's mission to fund critical research and promote heart health and stroke prevention.
