9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
In addition to that statistic, there are other forms of heart disease and problems that are critical and in need of attention and awareness. The little girl in this photo is my granddaughter and the light of my life! Unfortunately, she has a heart condition that will require open heart surgery in the near future. We're fortunate that her condition was caught and diagnosed early. Through the help of research and an excellent cardiology team, we are confident that she will be okay.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
