Why We’re Fundraising for the American Heart Association — For Malicah’s Heart ❤
This cause is more than close to our hearts — it is our heart.
We are fundraising for the American Heart Association in honor of our brave, beautiful son Malicah, who was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. From the moment he entered this world, he has been a fighter — enduring two major open-heart surgeries and a partial heart transplant before most children even learn to walk.
Malicah’s journey has been filled with challenges, prayers, and miracles. His strength inspires us every single day. Through it all, we've come to understand just how critical heart research, awareness, and support truly are — not just for Malicah, but for millions of children and families navigating life with congenital heart defects.
The American Heart Association is leading the charge in research, education, and advocacy for families like ours. They are pushing forward the science that saves lives — like Malicah’s — and working toward a future where no child has to face this kind of battle alone.
We’re raising funds because we believe in that future.
We believe in more birthdays.
We believe in stronger hearts.
We believe in Malicah.
Every dollar you give brings hope to families, advances life-saving medical breakthroughs, and supports kids like our warrior — Malicah.
Thank you for standing with us, for sharing his story, and for helping us fight for every heartbeat.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Malicah’s Family
