This is my second Heart Walk and I'm still trying to learn everything I can from my Big Brother, Austin, who is participating in his 15th Walk - and he's just 14.5 years old!!! Like Austin, I'm trying to raise some dough in memory our Grand Daddies. Mom started participating in the Walk 17 or 18 years ago in memory of her Daddy Elvin, my Grand Daddy. She wanted to honor his memory as the Walk is the day of his birthday and around the day he had a massive heart attack. I'm also participating in memory of Grand Daddy Duane who benefited from aortic valve replacement - a big group of words for me - when he was almost 90. I also participate for so many who have been impacted by heart disease and stoke.
