Here is my "why". This photo is of my grandfather. He had been to the doctor and exercised the same day he passed away from cardiovascular disease at the age of 43, leaving my grandmother to raise their family and unfortunately never getting to meet his grandchildren. Thanks to the American Heart Association, treatment and prevention of heart disease/stroke has made leaps and bounds since then, but it is still hard to meet someone who has not been impacted by cardiovascular disease in some way. I am asking you to honor his memory (Or the memory of someone close to you) by donating to our Heart Walk team. Let's lessen the #1 killer of humans and its impact, and give millions of people more memories with their loved ones.
