My Mom is a heart attack survivor. She has always watched her diet and exercised, if dancing in the kitchen counts as exericse. However, you can't escape your genes. Heart disease runs in our family.
Nine years ago, my then 16 year old son, Joe, went to my Mom's house to pick her up for lunch. When she answered the door he could see that Mom was not well. Long story short, she had had a heart attack and they went to the emergency room. Heart attack symptoms in women differ than the heart attack symptoms in men. Women's symptons can even be subtle to the point they do not realize they are having a heart attack. Mom's heart attack affected everyone around her. Her heart attack caused us to learn about heart disease for our generation and our family's future generations.
I am thankful to the good Lord that my Mom survived her heart attack.
