I've been a nurse at St Dominic's for about 2 years now.I am thankful for being able to work at this hospital on the telemetry/cardiac and medsurg floor.I know I still have a lot to learn and being in this career field there are many things to understand and hardships to go through. Caring for another person takes diligence, kindness, compassion and so much more. What each person goes through in life and being there for them during one of the hardest parts of their journey is truly eye opening. To be the nurse who is there for a patient who says their final goodbyes to family and to care for that individual during that part of their life is something I will never forget. To be the nurse who is there to see a patient heal and able to go home to their family is something I will also never forget. Life and the time we are given is something truly precious. I am thankful I am able to work at St Dominic's and to continue to learn nursing and work with 2 south. I ask as a cardiac/med-surg nurse if you would like to donate to the American heart association I would truly appreciate any help
I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
