Our son's first few days of life were a whirlwind of hospital visits and tests. After a concerning EKG and a pediatrician's mention of a heart murmur, we were on edge. As new parents, we were already overwhelmed, and the thought of our baby having a heart irregularity was terrifying.
But as we waited for his follow-up appointments at the hospital, something shifted. We saw families around us, all dealing with their own heart health struggles. A pregnant mom, a little girl, and toddlers - all there for similar reasons. Our eyes were opened to the reality of heart conditions affecting people of all ages.
Thankfully, our son's tests came back clear. He just needed a little more time to develop. But this experience sparked a new passion in us. With a family history of heart attacks and strokes, we knew the importance of heart health. Now, we saw the impact on babies and young people too.
That's why I'm fundraising for the American Heart Association. We're all connected to heart disease and stroke in some way. It's time to change that. Your donation will fund life-saving research, helping people live longer, healthier lives.
As the American Heart Association celebrates its Centennial, we're committed to moving health and well-being forward. Let's work together to create a world where heart disease and stroke no longer exist.
Will you help me reach my goal today?
