The Knox County Community Health Council is working hard to address serious health priorities like Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), cancer, and diabetes—conditions that impact long-term health and well-being. But improving community health also means making sure our neighborhoods are ready to respond in emergencies.
Every minute matters during a cardiac arrest. Right now, 9 out of 10 people who experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital don’t survive. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change that.
Cardiac arrests happen anywhere—at home, at work, in schools, and on playing fields. A community trained and ready to act can mean the difference between life and death.
Now is the time to come together, take action, and save lives.
When you walk, donate, or join our team, you’re supporting community health improvement efforts—like CPR training, chronic disease prevention, and health education—that help build a healthier, stronger future for everyone.
We Walk to Save Lives. Help us reach our goal by joining our team. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers—and help City of Knoxville, Knox County, and Town of Farragut families live longer, healthier lives.
