I Walk to Save Lives — Will You Join Me?
When I was born, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect — a hole in my heart and a leaking valve. At just 18 months old, after several scary “blue spells,” I had my first open-heart surgery at Riley Children's Hospital.
At 21, I underwent my second heart valve replacement. I’ve been told I’ll need heart surgeries every 10–15 years to replace the valve. That reality has become a part of my life — along with regular heart appointments to monitor my health and make sure I’m not due for the next surgery.
But here's the good news: I’m here. I’m healthy. I’m living a full and happy life.
And I know I’m one of the lucky ones.
That’s why I’m walking — for myself, and for the millions of others impacted by heart disease and stroke. I'm walking for those still waiting for their diagnosis, those in the middle of treatment, and those who need our support the most.
The American Heart Association is leading the charge in lifesaving research, CPR training, and advocacy — and they need our help.
Now is the time to take action.
Every dollar you donate means:
-
More people trained in CPR
-
More breakthroughs in heart research
-
More lives saved
Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers. Together, we can make a real difference.
Help me reach my fundraising goal. Walk with me. Donate today. Let’s save lives — one step at a time
