Walking for McKenna & All Heart Warriors â¤ï¸ð‘

Our daughter, McKenna, was born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS)—which, in short, means she was born with half a heart. She has endured three major open-heart surgeries, including her first at just 5 days old, undergone over 20 procedures, and spent more than 150 days in the ICU within her first three years of life.

This year, we are walking as a family to raise awareness and support for children like McKenna who live with CHD every single day.

But we’re not just walking—we’re Heartwalking. By participating in the Heart Walk, we’re promoting heart-healthy choices, encouraging physical activity, and, most importantly, setting an example for McKenna while spreading awareness about CHD.
