We are walking in the American Heart Association fundraiser in honor of Caden, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at just 16 years old from sudden cardiac arrest. No parent ever imagines losing their child so soon. Many times, heart conditions can go undetected, which is why it's so important for parents to have their kids tested beyond the basic physicals. We walk to honor Caden's memory and to help protect other families from experiencing this kind of loss.

9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this. â??
