Hello! If you're not aware of our story, my sweet and strong Ellie was born with a congenital heart defect (CHD). CHD is the most common birth defect, affecting 1 out every 110 babies born in the U.S. Many times the cause is unknown. Like many little survivors, she will continue to need lifelong followup care.
The American Heart Association (AHA) helps children with heart conditions and general heart health by funding research for congenital heart defects (CHDs), educating children and families through programs like the Kids Heart Challenge, training medical professionals in pediatric emergency care, and advocating for policies that support early detection and treatment of heart issues.
I participate in this annual heart walk to raise awareness and money for the AHA. Keeping all of our hearts healthy and should be a priority.
Thank you for your consideration in participating and donating!
